On February 10, 2026, officers responded to the Circle K and McDonald’s in reference to a disorderly subject and a report of a male who battered a store employee. The male left the area prior to officers’ arrival. Another subject remained on scene and was identified as Glenda Rico, who was found to have an outstanding warrant through Cuba Municipal Court for Failure to Appear on Shoplifting charges. Rico was taken into custody on her warrant.
On February 11, 2026, officers were again dispatched to the same businesses regarding a disorderly subject identified as Melvin Bahe. Bahe had previously been issued a criminal trespass notice from the property due to prior incidents.
During continued investigation into the February 10 incident, officers developed probable cause to charge Melvin Bahe in connection with the previous disorderly conduct and battery of a store employee.
Bahe will be required to appear in court on charges of:
• Criminal Trespass (2 counts)
• Battery
Employees and patrons should feel safe while conducting business in our community. The Cuba Police Department remains committed to thorough investigations and ensuring individuals are held accountable for criminal behavior.
We will continue to follow up on incidents and pursue cases to their proper conclusion.
