On the evening of Thursday, March 19, 2026, at approximately 11:20 PM, officers were dispatched to the Circle K convenience store (6401 US-550) in reference to a trespassing individual. The individual was identified as Neil Charley.
The store owner reported that the individual had already been issued a criminal trespass warning earlier that same day by the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the individual, who became confrontational, took an aggressive fighting stance, and challenged officers.
With the assistance of Sandoval County deputies, the situation was quickly brought under control. The individual complied with commands and was taken into custody without further incident. He was later booked into the Sandoval County Detention Center.
The individual is facing the following charges:
- Criminal Trespass
- Assault Upon a Peace Officer
